Because June is “iron month,” I’d be interested in your perspective about game improvement versus more players irons for good iron players. If you are a good player generally– scratch or near scratch– and a decent iron player, are there downsides to these players gaming a game-improvement iron? This question has always intrigued me. What does a good player give up that will cost him strokes if he plays a more forgiving game-improvement iron?
