Spotted: TaylorMade “Spider Mini” Tour putters

Published

on

The rumored TaylorMade Spider Mini has crawled its way onto the PGA Tour. GolfWRX members speculated about the existence of a smaller, Spider with, well, extremely stubby legs.

Looking like the offspring of the Spider and the Spider Arc, here are a few shots of the Spider Mini in red from the TaylorMade tour truck at the Wells Fargo Championship.

While we don’t have an exact idea of head size, the most notable difference between the Spider and the Mini is obviously the amputation of the legs and the addition of a sole weight. It looks like TM is also adding weight to the remaining nubs in the spirit of the Spider’s MOI-boosting shape and weight distribution. The company’s Pure Roll insert looks to be carried over from the Spider as well.

What do you think about the “Spider Mini” photos?

    I don’t want a small red putter…. I want a big black putter…. and a stiff shaft too

I’m gonna put a Stability shaft into my Scotty head to stiffen it up so I can putt with vigor and potency.

If I ever snag a used Spider I am absolutely painting it like a turtle with its head chopped off.
