Luke Donald announces he will be wearing Jordan golf shoes

Published

on

Luke Donald is friends with Michael Jordan; or, at the very least, he’s played basketball and golf with MJ.

Now, the former World No. 1-ranked golfer will also be wearing Jordan golf shoes, as per an Instagram post by Donald himself.

The Jordan shoe brand — one of the most popular and sought after athletic and street shoes on the market for the past 30 years — has entered the golf realm over the recent years with golf-specific remakes of Air Jordan 1s, Air Jordan 3s, Air Jordan 13s, and a number of other releases, and the brand is now increasing its Tour presence.

Fellow PGA Tour player, and pick-up basketball teammate Keegan Bradley also wears Jordan brand golf shoes. Unfortunately for sneaker heads and golfers, none of the “Air Keegans” have yet to hit the retail market, but he’s been known to wear high-top, one-off Jordan golf shoes (like the ones pictured above) while competing on the PGA Tour.

Based on the photo from Donald’s Instagram post, however, he’ll be going with a more subtle, low-top look on the course. But it will be interesting to see what other Jordan pairs Donald decides to wear as the season goes on.

Here are more photos of Luke Donald’s Jordan shoes that we spotted him wearing at the 2018 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am:
