GolfWRX Members Choice: Tiger Woods’ top-10 career moments

Published

on

Tiger Woods has won 14 majors and 79 PGA Tour events throughout his career. It’s not simply that he won so many events, however, but HOW he won them. Woods has an indescribable flair for the dramatic, charisma that’s simply unmatched in golfing history, and he often did what seemed impossible with a golf club and a golf ball; usually with the tournament on the line, too.

The moments that Woods has etched in our memories as golfing fans are unforgettable. In order to figure out his best, we gathered a list of our top-20 moments from Woods’ career, and asked our GolfWRX members to pick three of their favorites.

We then tallied up the votes to determine the top-10, and ultimately, his greatest moment. Below are the results, in order.

See the full poll and comments from GolfWRX Members.

Lights out, Firestone (2.59 percent of votes)

The fairway bunker shot (4.44 percent)

“Better than most… How bout in?” (5.93 percent)

Tiger Slam (6.30 percent)

The Point (6.48 percent)

(Skip to 1 minute 39 seconds for “The Point.”)

Pebble Breeze (8.70 percent)

(Just watch the entire video.)

THE 1997 Masters (12.41 percent)

“Expect anything different?!” (16.85 percent)

Swoosh on the Lip (21.85 percent)

And an alternate view, because why not?

    A golfing comeback?
TW is a drug addict plain and simple. He’s just rich enough to call it a medication management problem.
He has easy access that is afforded the rich won’t make it easy to quit. Three weeks of rehab and a whitewash job aren’t likely to help him deal with this problem, either. His sex rehab didn’t work so why would his drug rehab?!
His first comeback is to get clean and that will take more than a year. Videos of his ‘swing’ is just not enough to return to the professional tour and then make a fool of himself in public.

When is GolfWRX going to catcb ip with golf. So many great young players like Justin Thomaa, Jordan Spieth, and a score of others, Phil still shooting lighgsvout at his age, and they are still talking Tiger. What has he done/won lately? Not every reader has a crush on Tiger. He was a great golfer but his time is over. Probably sooner than it needed to be but thats his own fault. Move on!

Tiger should just concentrate on his business investments … and I hear he is into a chain of KFC franchises. Fried chicken good for the soul….

This post makes sense only if it is part of a series that will feature Phil Mickelson, Tom Watson, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, . . .

Otherwise, what is this Tiger obsession about??!!

His agent and publicists paid a hefty fee to make sure there is noise around Eldrick as he attempts to get back to playing again.

Then there is the 9-iron shot he took too his face and then drove his Escalade out of bounds into a fire hydrant. I guess you could call that a ‘trouble’ shot.

Bryson DeChambeau’s latest message to slow play critics: “Screw all y’all haters”

Published

on

Just a few of days after vowing to step up his attempts to improve his pace of play, a video has surfaced from this Wednesday’s Pro-Am at Medinah of DeChambeau defending his pace at last week’s event and attacking his critics.

The video which you can see here at the Twitter account @DMeyer06, appears to be taken on a fans Snapchat account, and within it DeChambeau states

“I was never on the clock last week, y’all can say whatever you want, but we’re having a fu**ing good time. So screw all y’all haters”

DeChambeau’s message in the Snapchat video looks to contradict the statement he posted to his Instagram account on Monday where he said

“I’m constantly trying to improve and I will do my very best to improve my pace.”

DeChambeau is currently in action at this week’s BMW Championship where he posted a score of 1 under par in his opening round.
