GolfWRX is live from the Web.com Tour’s 2017 News Sentinel Open at Fox Den Country Club (par 71; 7,110 yards) in Knoxville, Tennessee. Just two events remain before the Web.com Finals begin, certainly adding a sense of urgency and importance for those on the bubble.

J.J. Spaun won last year’s News Sentinel Open by one stroke over Sam Ryder. Spaun has since graduated onto the PGA Tour, where his best finish this season has been a T4 at the 2017 Waste Management Phoenix Open. Ryder, last year’s runner up, is back again this year.

The field at this week’s News Sentinel Open will be looking to follow in Spaun’s footsteps and secure full status on the PGA Tour in 2018. Notables in the field include Luke Guthrie, Stephan Jaeger, Shaun Micheel, Robert Allenby, James Driscoll, D.J. Trahan, Andrew Landry, Jason Gore, Scott Langley, Beau Hossler, Andrew Svoboda, Daniel Chopra, Ben Kohles and Erik Compton.
