WATCH: Bubba Watson’s ridiculous short game trick shot

Published

on

Say what you will about Bubba Watson, his opinions about golf courses, or even his playoff-viewing attire — but one thing you can’t take away from him is his ridiculous skill and uncanny hand-eye coordination.

Watch this amazing shot he hit during the 2016 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am practice round on Tuesday.

The flop shot, double-hit alley-oop, Karrem-Abdul Jaabar hook shot into the jar is nothing short of genius. Nice shot, Bubba — with the emphasis on “shot.”

I don’t think the first line in the article was meant literally – guess some guys just can’t help themselves.

Just have to love Bubba being Bubba…that is until he shows his true side…which is an arrogant prick that wants NOTHING to do with people that can’t help him. Met him at the PGA Show last year and over heard him saying some things that were completely rude. Since that day I knew “Bubba” is just a show for the camera. Would have given a paycheck to have that ball bounce off his wedge and knock his two front teeth out.

      Who cares? Bubba sells, period.

Among real golfers, he isn’t as loved as everyone thinks. Many people have had interactions with the guy. Luckily he has sponsors that don’t need HIS pushing. I don’t think anyone buys Oakley’s and says oh man bubba has these. PING is a highly respected brand so Bubba doesn’t drive the sales as much as the name PING does.

So you’d actually pay to see his front teeth knocked out? You need to stop caring so much about professional golfers.

      I liked the shot.

Agreed – talent is talent. Couldn’t care less about the popularity contest.

Some golfers are funny because they are so illiterate. The guy has said he has ADHD but it is obviously Aspergers. Highly creative, almost a savant and bad people skills. It is pretty close to Autism. He was born that way and has not held him back. Another example is Dr, Michael Burry (see movie The Big Short). Burry is a medical doctor and arguably one of the best investors ever. Highly creative and poor people skills. This is what people with Aspergers are like.

Anyone who doubts it – watch Bubba’s shot at The Masters when he won. No one could teach a golfer that shot. Bubba’s brain in creativity and hand manipulation is more highly developed than a normal human. Ahh..but haters gonna hate.

What GolfWRXers are saying about Kevin Kisner’s new Callaway X Forged CB irons

Published

on

In our forums, our members have been discussing Kevin Kisner’s new Callaway X Forged CB irons which he has in the bag at this week’s CJ Cup. WRXers have been commenting on the switch and the clubs themselves in our forums.

For lots more photos, check out the full thread here.

Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.

  • btyh: “Holy offset.”
  • Glf_LU: “These are interesting. Not going to make a rush to judgement until I see them in person. It does look like a little more offset than I would expect to see in this model.”
  • bcflyguy1: “Kisner is not one to make a lot of equipment changes (see the GBB driver he’s still using), so if these do have staying power in his bag that will be interesting to see. I have to wonder if there’s something different about his set, because like others have mentioned there appears to be more offset on his than I recall seeing in the samples I’ve had in hand.”

WATCH: PGA Tour players play hole blindfolded and it’s hilarious/amazing

Published

on

As part of a Srixon campaign, four PGA Tour players recently participated in a three-hole challenge, with each hole being a different game; hole No. 1 was blindfolded, hole No. 2 was costumes and distractions, and hole No. 3 was alternate shot with a baseball bat. The teams were Smylie Kaufman and Sam Ryder against Shane Lowry and Grayson Murray.

Watch the full video below, since it is quite entertaining (albeit not the type of golf that Old Tom Morris surely had in mind), but in particular, make sure to check out the first hole where Lowry and Ryder play a full hole completely blind folded. It’s amazing to watch how badly Ryder struggles, and how Lowry nearly makes par.

Cleveland-Srixon’s marketing department has been hard at work crafting these viral-esque ad campaigns; if you remember, former long-drive champion Jamie Sadlowski recently dressed as 80-year-old Grandpa Jamie to fool range-goers. That video has since gathered over 1.2 million views on YouTube.
