GolfWRX is live this week from the Final Stage of the Web.com Qualifying School at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

From Dec. 11-16, golfers will play 108 holes to determine their playing status for the 2014-2015 season. Here’s what’s on the line, according to PGATour.com:

  • Winner and ties of the Web.com Tour Qualifying Tournament (Medalist) — exempt for the 2015 season and from peridoic re-order.
  • Players finishing after the Winner and ties through tenth and ties position — exempt until the third periodic re-order of the 2015 season.
  • Players finishing after the tenth and ties position through forty-fifth and ties position — exempt until the second periodic re-order of the 2015 season.
  • Players after the forty-fifth and ties position — conditional status for the 2015 season, alternating with seventy-sixth through the one hundredth (76-100) positions from the Web.com Tour Regular Season Final Money list, and two through five (2-5) on the PGA TOUR Latinoamerica, PGA TOUR Canada and PGA TOUR China Final Official Money Lists.

    There is a Ping utility iron in the Part 1 photo file. It has the Ping logo but nothing else. Is that a new-proto Rapture of some kind?

Last year, Keith Mitchell canned a 15-footer on the 72nd hole, outlasting Rickie Fowler and Brooks Koepka.
