Photos from the Deutsche Bank Championship
GolfWRX is live this week from the Deutsche Bank Championship, the second leg of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, where the top-100 players in the points standings convene at TPC Boston to compete for 75 spots to move on in The Playoffs. The par-71 layout will measure 7,261 yards for the championship.
Last week at The Barclays, Hunter Mahan won his first tournament in over two years to overtake the top position in the FedEx Cup standings, and moves one step closer to the $10 million payout. Rory McIlroy, who won The Open Championship and the PGA Championship in 2014, sits in second place within striking distance, with Jimmy Walker sitting in third. Matt Kuchar, Bubba Watson and Jim Furyk are in 4th, 5th and 6th places, respectively.
Henrik Stenson won last year’s Deutsche Bank Championship en route to his FedEx Cup Playoff 2014 victory. He holed out from a greenside bunker on the 71st hole to beat out Sergio Garcia at the event.
Check out our photos from the second leg of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, which starts on Friday.

Thats a prett big switch for Kevin C going from the rusty Vr Pro to the Vapors. If they cleand them up by removing the yellow swoosh and the black “insert” or whatever that is they would’t be half bad

What’s the device in Vijay’s bag? Not the Speed Stick but the stick with the silver cap.

I’d love to know what that brush is that Charlie Hoffman has next to him on the range. Nothing more annoying than dirt on the face of your irons when your on the range hitting shots. Would be awesome to be able to give the face a quick brush in between shots on that thing stuck in the ground.

Ryan Moore switched to some kinda ugly muiras. They probably feel great though. He’s seems to be a bit of a HO. Played Ping irons a lot, then Scratch, then I think some adams, then back to Ping s55 and now Muiras. One of my favorite golfers.

I think those are the PassingPoint-9003, most forgiving Miura’s and I think slightly stronger lofts. I could be wrong but they have identical head shape to the PP-9003. Ya i love guys who have goofy swings. Great iron player and putter.

Yes, they look like Passing Point 9003, not sure if they are the original or the newer straight model. I play them and they perform well for me and like the looks too. To each his own.

Ryan’s clubs are the SN Straight Neck version of the PP9003 Muira’s. Hah hah I know because I built them. They are 2-3 degrees stronger than other Miuras models but likely compare to today’s Taylor Mades Callaways, etc. I know he adjusted the lofts to suit his distances. So far he has played them in the John Deere, The Open Championship and the Firestone events. Now Deutsche Bank. Keep up the great finishes Ryan !

Well, I kinda-sorta guessed correctly. He’s keeping close to his roots apparently. I’m in the other Vancouver or I’d probably already be a customer too.
