Pros: The Bio Cell technology on the crown works to push the weight low and forward, which adds distance and also leaves a cool tortoise shell design. Also, the color options and ability to adjust loft allows you to customize the driver to your liking, and they have some refreshing colors.

Cons: While I appreciate the feminine color options, the Men’s version has a sharper, bolder look in their selection. The color scheme could be a little matchy-matchy for some tastes.

Bottom Line: Cobra’s Bio Cell driver offers up a ton of distance without sacrificing forgiveness, and has a unique-look with the tortoise shell crown. It’s awesome when a driver that hits it far and straight looks good while doing it.

Overview

Cobra Golf has taken customization to a new level with their Bio Cell driver. Not only can you buy one club and adjust it to suit your game, but you can also select the color of your choice from a variety of options. In the past you had to be a touring professional to get custom colors. Now, Cobra has brought that luxury to every consumer.

Performance

The all titanium Bio Cell driver has taken distance to a new level. It is equipped with Cobra’s own MyFly 8 with SmartPad technology that offers 8 adjustable loft settings, which allows you to adjust the club for you or for the course you are playing. The E9 Bio Cell forged face removed the weight from the crown and face to deliver a lower center of gravity (CG) and increase the MOI (moment of inertia) for faster ball speed. The combination makes the sweet spot more effective for longer and straighter drives.

Loft options include 11, 11.5, 11.5 D (draw), 12.5, 12.5D, 13.5, 13.5D and 14 degrees.

Looks and Feel

Cobra offers 3 fresh colors for women that include desert flower, aqua splash and beetroot purple.  The integrated Bio Cells actually give the driver an animal print look on the crown of the driver.

The Takeaway

A custom driver with the custom fit makes it every golfers’ dream. You can purchase your own Cobra Bio Cell driver for $299 at your local Cobra retailer, or if you buy straight from Cobra’s website, they’re offering an instant $100 rebate off the price.
