GolfWRX is live this week from The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. Pete Dye’s Stadium course, a par-72 measuring 7,215 yards, plays host to the season’s unofficial fifth major. Dye’s signature hole, No. 17, which measures just 137 yards, haunts players throughout the week with its island green and never fails to provide drama for the fans, especially when the wind blows.

The major-like field features 46 of the top 50 players in the Official World Golf Rankings, including Adam Scott (No. 2), reigning FedEx Cup champion Henrik Stenson (No. 3) and 2014 Masters Champion Bubba Watson (No. 4).

This year’s Players Championship is without Tiger Woods, the defending champion and No. 1-ranked golfer in the world. Woods underwent back surgery earlier in 2014 and the date of his return is yet to be announced. Jason Day (No. 6) will also miss this week’s event with a lingering thumb injury.

Matt Kuchar (No. 6), the 2012 champion, looks to become just the sixth player to capture multiple wins at The Players Championship. He won earlier this year by holing out from a greenside bunker on No. 18 at Harbour Town and remains one of the most consistent players on tour.

  1. I like that pic of the two t mag sldrs. There is a mark where someone found the cog of the head. I just did that to a few clubs, and knowing where that spot is now really helps

  2. Thanks for the photos from TPC Sawgrass. Whose irons are the rusty looking Nike in the main photo with ‘K C’ stamp??? I looked through the photos but unable to establish who plays with them.
