GolfWRX is live this week from the Zurich Classic of New Orleans at TPC Louisiana in Avondale, just outside of New Orleans. The par-72, Pete Dye design, with consulting from Steve Elkington and Kelly Gibson, measures 7,399 yards and is laced with bunkers and waste bunkers on the 250-acre layout. The course sits in the lush wetlands on the Mississippi River Delta.

In the field this week are headliners Justin Rose (No. 11 in the Official World Golf Rankings), Keegan Bradley (No. 18), Patrick Reed (No. 25), Rickie Fowler (No. 36) and Ernie Els (No. 44). None of the current top-10 golfers in the OWGR will be in the field this week, leaving the tournament open for another first-time winner.

Last year, the Zurich Classic saw Billy Horschel capture his first PGA Tour victory after holing a 27-foot birdie putt on No. 18 to win by one stroke over D.A. Points. Jason Dufner also captured his first PGA Tour victory in the 2012 edition of the event, where he bested Ernie Els in a two-hole playoff. Dufner will not be in this year’s event, but Horschel is back to defend his title.

GolfWRX is on site this week at Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island for the RBC Heritage. Plenty of golfers who competed in the Masters last week will be making the quick turnaround in the Lowcountry of South Carolina as the Heritage is again one of the Tour’s Signature Events.

Photos from the 2024 Valero Texas Open

GolfWRX is on site this week at the Valero Texas Open.

The event has been around since 1922, making it one of the oldest on the PGA Tour calendar. Over the years, it’s been held at a variety of courses across the Lone Star State, but it’s found its home at TPC San Antonio in recent years. Some of the biggest names in golf have taken home the title here, including Arnold Palmer, Ben Hogan, Lee Trevino, and Ben Crenshaw.
