aboutGolf – Keep Your Game in All Seasons

Winter can get a golfer out of practice depending on what part of the world you are in.  Minus ten and a forty below wind chill is not exactly golfing weather.   Courses and ranges in those areas aren’t even open under those conditions.   Enter aboutGolf and the simulated experience.   Not only can you practice, but you can do so at more than one “course”.

Yes, there are clubs in select areas around the world that have these installed but you can actually have one in your basement or other suitable room.  The SimSurround version has an awesome 180-degree view of almost 40 courses.  Three cameras (3Trak) track each movement of your club and ball that translates into data that you can use to improve your game.  The SimSurround is a more “realistic simulation” because of the wrapped around image as opposed to the regular simulator that simply has the “course” in front of you.  The 3Trak system is the company’s proprietary 3D system that was once only available to OEMs.  The cameras in this system process nearly 2000 frames per second for extensive ball and club tracking.  So yes, it is possible in the dead of winter to throw on your golf shorts and work on your swing!

Of course, indoor golf can never actually replace the wonderful, outdoor game we all know and love.  That said you still play with real (not range) balls, clubs, and shoes.  Think of it as a way to supplement your efforts on the actual course.

UaboutGolf is a 20-year old company that is emerging as the leader in indoor simulator technology as they have the most widely-distributed simulator on the market.  Headquartered in Maumee, Ohio you can contact them directly through their website.
