Jason Day, Luke Donald, and Shanshan Feng were all winners on the course this week. But who were the winners of the Twitterverse? Read on to find out.

Kyle Thompson of the Web.com Tour wasn’t impressed by the Florida Gators 26-20 defeat at the hands of significant underdog Georgia Southern.

Jason Day tweeted the following after his win at the ISPS Handa World Cup. The outpouring of support seemed to mean as much to the golfer as his first win since 2010. Class act.

Sir Nick Faldo dually made monnonest’s life and owned the user with this retweet and addendum.

After winning the Dunlop Phoenix in Japan, Luke Donald tweeted the following, begging the question, “But are there ‘Baba Booeys’ there?”

Following the Patriots’ dramatic come-from-behind victory, Keegan Bradley (a diehard Boston sports fan) tweeted this.

I knew this invitation from Thorbjorn Olesen would inspire questionable responses. I didn’t count on one of them coming from Nicolas Colsaerts.

Here’s a very Seattle-nerdy looking Kyle Stanley spending some quality time with his main girl.

Here’s a pretty standard post-victory tweet from a PGA Tour pro right? Sure. Note the hashtag: Donald won the Dunlop last year. In addition to a trophy and cash, the winner also gets a copious amount of (and you can’t make this up) beef. So, #BeefDefended.

Graham DeLaet just became one of my favorite players! I’m going to give my liver a workout this week as well.

Faldo – the man who gets along with no one, it seems. At least no golf manufacturer.

Think you will find it’s miyazaki beef – even harder to come by and extortionately expensive!

Photos from the 2024 Cognizant Classic

Published

GolfWRX is on site this week at the Cognizant Classic —FKA the Honda Classic.

The first leg of the PGA Tour’s traditional “Florida swing,” the Cognizant Classic continues to be contested at PGA National’s Champion Course in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, host course of the 1983 Ryder Cup and 1987 PGA Championship. The course is known for its famed “Bear Trap,” a three-hole stretch of holes that take their name from Jack “The Golden Bear” Nicklaus, who redesigned the course in 2002.

The Bear Trap includes No. 15 (a par 3), No. 16 (a par 4), and No. 17 (a par 4). All three holes involve water and have led to several big numbers from Tour players over the years.

Check out an assortment of general galleries, WITBs, and pullout albums below.

We’ll continue to update the galleries as more photos flow in from Florida!
