Puma Ladies Golf Apparel: Editor Review

Published

on

We’ve been seeing hybrid golf shoes for awhile now. You know the story: Not only can you wear your golf shoes on the golf course, but they’re now so multifunctional and you can even go running in some of them.

Golf apparel is becoming the same way. You don’t have to buy a golf outfit and worry that you won’t get enough use out of it for the money you’re spending. Some companies are marketing themselves as crossover brands. You can golf, shop, play tennis, go running, or even hit up your yoga or pilates class in your golf clothes.

When I put on my Puma Printed Pattern Polo and Graphic Pleated Skort, I felt like it would be extremely appropriate for me to play a round of golf and hit the tennis court afterward.

The Printed Pattern Polo ($70) is a little long for me, but that’s actually probably a good thing. You can stretch pre-round or finish your big drive and not worry about showing your mid-drift. An it’s made of Puma’s drirelease fabric, which wicks away moisture and quickly evaporates sweat. The fabric used for the shirt is stretchy, but it doesn’t cling to you. That makes the shirt very comfortable.

The Tech Pleated Skort ($70) is supposed to be a nod to traditional golf style, but the pleat detail is a nod to traditional tennis style as well. Either way, I love it. It feels fun and flirty and covers everything that needs covering. With the shorts built in under the skirt, you can bend and stretch carefree knowing that you’re not offering a free show.

The pleated skort also offers UV protection, UPF 50+ and dryCELL technology in the fabric that will keep you dry and protected in the skort. It has a touch of spandex for ease of movement and dual front slip-in hip pockets with a single back pocket. It’s a nice touch that it also has adjustable belt loops for different width belts.

Both the shirt and skort have an all-over graphic print throughout the entire look. I wouldn’t normally choose a top and bottom that both have graphics, but I felt that the look worked in a cohesive way with this outfit.

Overall I really enjoyed this outfit with its comfort feel and flirty vibe. The only thing that could have made this outfit better for me would have been matching shoes! Maybe next time!

I’ve tried looking all over the place for this for you and since it is from a previous season’s line it seems to be sold out everywhere. I’ve always felt that this skort had a tennis vibe to it and if that’s the look you like Jofit offers some great options that I wear on the golf course all the time. I pair the tennis skorts with the golf tops so it still has a golf look. You can find them here http://bit.ly/jofit and use code AMBGWS for 10% off. I hope that helps!
